Solid Particle Core

  • Medium to heavy duty requirements (suite entries, offices).
  • Available in 1 3/8” and 1 3/4” thickness.
  • 20 minute fire rating is available in 1 3/4” only.

Solid Particle Core (Stave)

  • Heavy duty requirements (high traffic common areas)
  • Available in 1 3/8” and 1 3/4” thickness.
  • 20 minute fire rating is available in 1 3/4” only.

Solid Mineral Core

  • For applications requiring flush wood door fire rating.
  • Available in 1 3/4” thickness.
  • 45 minute, 60 minute, and 90 minute fire rating.

STANDARD LITE OPTIONS

NOTE: 20×64 maximum with 20 minute fire rating. Sealed units cannot be fire rated – air space
between panes heats up fast and will explode.
NOTE: 90 minute fire rating max 100 sq ft.
NOTE: 45 minute fire rating max 1296 sq ft., max height 54”. 6” from lockset.
NOTE: fire rating must be self closing (closer required)

Door Handling

Rules:

  1. The hand of the door is always determined from the outside.
  2. The outside of an exterior door is the street or entrance side.
  3. The outside of an auditorium door is the corridor or hall side.
  4. The outside of a room is the corridor or hall side.
  5. The outside of a closet door is the room, corridor or hall side.
  6. The outside of a single communicating door is the side from
    which the butts are visible when the door is closed.

WOOD JAMB

Flat Jamb and Stop

  • Light duty to medium duty requirements (used with wood doors).
  • Jamb is 3/4” thick by various widths (4 1/2” and 6 1/2” standard widths) separated stop is 3/8” thick by 1 1/4” wide.
  • Available in primed finger-joined pine and stain grade solid wood (birch, maple or oak).
  • Rough opening, add 2” to width and 2” to height of door size.
  • Installed by using screws or nails.
  • No fire rating available.

Rabbeted Jamb

  • Medium duty requirements (used with wood doors).
  • Jamb is 1 1/4” thick by various widths (4 1/2”, 4 3/4”, 6 1/2” , 7 3/8”, 7 7/8” and 9” standard widths).
  • Available in primed finger-joined pine and stain grade solid wood (birch, maple or oak).
  • Rough opening, add 2” to width and 2” to height of door size.
  • Installed by using screws or nails.
  • 20 minute fire rating is available.

All commercial wood doors can be used in steel jambs as well.
